Brass Ball Valve - Article 2211

Description:

TBS Brass Ball Valves are manufactures to the latest international design. This valve is made of fines brass (CW617N), hot forged and sand blasted. The two piece design does not ask for any maintenance. The highly automated manufacturing process has built in quality checks at all stages. The final product is a valve which is an engineering feat and is value for money.

Salient Features

Full Port

This valve is full port to DIN 3357 for full flow. The valve does not interfere with the maximum flow allows by pipes of same size.

Mirror Finish Brass Balls

The chrome plated brass (CW617N) balls are mirror finished & made under extremely stringent tolerance. This ensures a long life and low operating torque.

Blow Out Proof Stem

The stem is nickel plated & bottom entry. Thus blow-out proof. A shoulder on the stem does not allow it to blow out. This makes it possible to change/remove the handle when the line is under pressure. Also the slot for stem does not protrude through the ball. Thus in full open or full closed position the fluid does not communicate outside the ball or in any part of the stem area. In the same condition there is no pressure on the stem resulting in in seal effectiveness or leading to an increase in torque.

VITON® Stem Seal

Double viton® O-Ring stem seals never require any kind of maintenance . They provide maximum security and are compatible with most fluids on which brass valves are used.

Silicon Free

This valve has been made in a silicon free process. Silicon free components are utmost important in delicate industrial processes such as metal painting or some food applications. This property makes the same valve applicable to much broader range of applications.

Rubber Free

By carefully choosing Teflon® & Viton® as the seal materials the design has avoided any parts of rubber (NBR or EPDM) this gives the valve an ability to work in a wider temperature range (-40°C to +170°C) and even more applications.

GEOMET® Coated Handle

Carbon steel Handle & Nut being the only metal parts not pertaining to brass are Geometo® Coated to increase its resistance to corrosion. The process provides for a coating of zinc & aluminum flakes in an inorganic binder. So it would withstand salt spray test (SS 9227) for 600 hours without red rust. This special treatment increases the resistance to corrosion to three times that of normal zinc plating. This process is RoHS (Restriction of heavy substances) compliant.

Special metal to metal sealing

Valve body and end-cap are assembled together not only with Loctite® but also by a special design of the gripping of the body to the end cap that increases the overall strength of the valve. This is important when pipes are misaligned or carry extra weight.

Double seal test

Each valve is seal tested twice using pressure deca equipment that automatically rejects any leaking valve. Manufacturing process is structured so that every valve is subjected to a minimum of 24 hours seal test. The extraordinary long time of our seal test enables our electronic instruments to detect the smallest leak and ensure our customers receive only top quality performing valves.

Flexible lip design

The seats are made of pure Teflon® self lubricating material with flexible lip design. It's a special design of seal profile that grants a more effective contact between the seat and ball. Therefore requiring a lower torque ratio to operate the valve, as well as an increased resistance to wearing.

25000 cycles -no lifecycle cost

All the above features bring you a Valve destined to withstand minimum 25,000 cycles without leak this would mean theoretically, that a valve operated once a day will have no leaks for at least 68 years! Of course performance in real life may vary based on the conditions of the application.

Galvanic plating

Plating on our valves is made according to the prescriptions of the UNI ISO 1458 norm.

Contact between ball & seat

We provide for 0°minimum contact between balls & seat. Please note EN-331 gas standard calls for 8° contact. The more the contact the better seal & longer life.
